Pittsburgh Violent Crime Incidents Skyrocketing In 2021

The number of homicides and non-fatal shootings this year is alarming Pittsburgh police and safety officials.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Violent crime rates are spiking in the city and public safety officials are concerned. Thus far this year, there have been 20 homicides in Pittsburgh and nearly 50 non-fatal shootings - respective 80 and 90 percent increases from the same time last year.

"Although this uptick in violence appears to be a trend across the country, this is not our city," Pittsburgh police Chief Scott Schubert said Monday.

"This is not Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police will not allow this senseless loss of life to continue. Our officers will work directly with the community to get to the root cause of these crimes and stop them from occurring."(https://patch.com/pennsylvania/pittsburgh/pittsburgh-violent-crime-incidents-skyrocketing-2021).

You've seen headlines like this for years but of course it's racist.  I not going into a long dissertation with the statistics because they cite stuff that isn't true and is nothing but noise. Everyone knows what's going on here and everyone knows that the media are hiding what goes on from describing the perks to disabling comments etc. Young blacks are the chief perpetrators of these events and pretending you can't see it will only compound the problem.

What I am saying is that if this keeps up Pittsburgh will end up like Philadelphia but of course that's racist too.  Everyone knows where the bad sections of Pittsburgh are but even the good ones are starting to see an increase in crime including the suburbs.  Stay tuned because things are only going to get worse.
